The Rohingya influx has still been continuing to Bangladesh following systematic persecutions of Myanmar armed forces and Rakhine mobs in Northern Rakhine (Arakan) state since 25 August.
According to our correspondent report, at least 71 Rohingya families consisting of 276 members entered Bangladesh through different border points of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
Later, they were sent to Rohingya National’s Registration Center from the primarily relief distribution center in Hariyakhali of Teknaf by Bangladesh army who are receiving the refugees arriving from Myanmar.
Among the 276 Rohingyas, 25 Rohingyas arrived on bamboo makeshift raft since they were too poor to pay the boat fare.
The Lt. Col SM Ariful Islam said, the Rohingyas were checked if they had brought any Yaba tablets or illegal things with them from Myanmar but not found anything illegal.
Earlier, on Wednesday, 135 families comprising 541 persons were sent to Nayapara refugee camp from the relief distribution and Rohingya receiving center for registering them.
Despite international pressure and condemnation against Myanmar, systematic persecutions including arson attack on Rohingya community in Northern Arakan has still been continued for which the Rohingyas are compelled to flee to Bangladesh, said a Rohingya from Balukhali camp.
