Rakhine extremists of Maungdaw Township have set devastating fire to Rohingya homes at Sundary para ward no. 3 in Maungdaw on , 5 October at around 4:00 pm and Mingala villages Maungdaw 5 October at around 9:00pm. burning down all the houses.
According to our correspondent report, a gang of Rakhine extremists who reside in Maungdaw Township entered the ward no. 3, Sundary para and Mingala para villages hamlet in the Township and set destructive fire to Rohingya homes which burnt to ashes making the Rohingya homeless.
They also set fire to Rohingya homes in Alishoung in northern Buthidaung 5 October at around 10:00pm. burning down all the houses that were completely burnt to ashes, source added.
Most of the Rohingya residents remained in the Township expecting that their homes would not be burnt down where they could live peacefully as the international community called upon Myanmar government several times.
But, the homes of the Rohingya residents of ward no. 3 at Sundary para hamlet have been finally torched to ashes by Rakhine extremists rendering thousands of people homeless.
Now the Rohingya have no shelter to live in and being forced to flee to Bangladesh for safety.
As the international community has been putting pressure on Suu Kyi led Myanmar government to stop violence against the Rohingyas in Northern Arakan, the Myanmar armed forces backed Rakhine extremists have resumed to set fire to Rohingya homes to force them flee to Bangladesh to belong the valuable land properties of Rohingyas in the Township.
Within this week, Rakhine extremists have torched several villages of Rohingyas in Buthidaung areas and Maungdaw Township as well that compelled the Rohingyas to flee to Bangladesh.
It is a hidden plan of Myanmar government to get the Rohingya eradicated from Maungdaw Township by Myanmar security forces backed Rakhine extremists, said a Rohingya activist.
