A Rohingya motorbike rider was brutally tortured by members of army and village administrator while coming from YeaDwinChaung village on 10 August 2017 at 6: 00 pm.
The victim was known as Muhammed Alam (30), son of U Habi Ahamed of KyaGanTaung village tract.
Source said to our correspondent, Alam was detained by the military members of KyainPyin Border Outpost (BOP) while he was coming from YeaDwinChaung to his village, KyaGanTaung on a motorcycle and tortured inhumanely.
The victim was confined at a wed muddy place in the rain whole night and the following day he was released in exchange of Kyat 50, 000.
Besides, more 50, 000 and 8 Ana of gold he had, were also seized from him when he was first arrested.
Such harassment, torture and money extortion are unabated which become unbearable to the Rohingya residents, says a villager.
