A group of Myanmar Tatmadaw consisting 50 members surrounded Tin May (Tami) village tract of Buthidaung North and carried out an intensified crackdown in the village on 11 August at around 3:00 am.
The army members first besieged the village at 3:00 am and some of them entered the village where they raided every house one by one looting the valuables and cash money, according to our correspondent report.
The army molested most of the women and slapped their babies during the raid and arrested at least 26 innocent Rohingya men from the village. Rice and other house hold things which they could not take away were ransacked, scattered on the ground and broken by them.
Most of the male members managed to flee the village to nearby the forest where they had been hiding until the military return.
The arrested victims are known as Azar Hussain, Abdu Hamid, Mv Nurul Amin, Hussain Ahamed, Nur Kabir, Mohamed Salm, Bodi Alam, Hussain, Lediya, Younus, Mohamed Sayed, Ilias, Nuru, Hala Badsha, Hussain, Ilias, Younus, Mohamed Sayed, Nuru, Abul Hasim and Mohamed Ullah the village.
The victims have been taken to their camp where they are being tortured mercilessly for confession of giving huge amount of ransom money, says a villager.
Another man from the village says, it is the most intense attack of army on the Rohingya that has been taken place ever.
Now the Rohingya residents are in more horrible situation following the intentional newly deployment of army from Yangon who might carry out strong raid in the village in which the villagers may be killed and arrested arbitrarily, source added.
