Two fire wood cutters were severely beaten up by military of battalion 353 and Rakhine miscreants of Buthidaung north while coming home from forest shouldering the fire wood on 11 April 2017.
The victims were identified as Hussain (16) son of Mohmed Zuhar and Rahamat Ullah (17) son Abu Sayed of Shairiguna of Ngachindauk union of Buthidaung North.
Source said to our correspondent, the two boys went to the forest to collect fire wood on 11 April early in the morning. While coming from the wood, military accompanied by some Rakhine hoodlums found the two boys on the way and caught them.
The two boys, fire wood seller by their profession were severely assaulted by the Rakhine goons and military to severe injury in the evening.
After beating them up mercilessly, they were set free having snatched their fire wood bundles from them.
Such harassments and persecutions are on the rise against the Rohingya people in Buthidaung, said a villager from Shairiguna.
