Myanmar army jointly with Border Guard Police (BGP) have resumed fresh raid in ThetKaingNyar (Satkhainnapara) of Maungdaw north where they have been searching the listed innocent people and harassing whomever they find in the village.
Source said to our correspondent, about six days ago, two Rohingya men from the village were kidnapped by unknown kidnappers whose whereabouts and fate are still unknown.
Following the incident, the army jointly with BGP forces have been conducting raid in the village and harassing the innocent people following the incident.
More than 27 innocent villagers have been listed by army who has fled from the village and passing time in the jungle fearing the arrest and torture of army accusing in the false hijack case of the two men.
The joint forces have been carrying out crackdown in the village 24 hours searching the listed men. The relatives of the absconding men are also being harassed in different forms by army during the raid.
Among the 27 targeted Rohingya men, Mr. Abdu Sukkur 30 son of Mohamed Ali has been arrested and tortured in the custody indiscriminately.
The absconding persons are passing their sleepless night and day without food in the forest fearing the arrest of army and the listed are mostly educated.
Source further said, the villagers are not in peace because of raid by joint forces in the village following the kidnapping incident.
