Myanmar security forces detained three Rohingya women from KyaGanTaung of Maungdaw on 30 March for speaking with the EU delegation that recently visited.
The 10 member European Union Commission visited the IDP camps in Sittwe where they observed the living condition of Internally Displace Person camp and talked to the refugees on 29 March 2017.
The commission visited the violence affected villages of Maungdaw north such as DarGyiZar, Wapet, KyaGanTaung and others where they themselves observed and witnessed the real scenes of violence and atrocities committed by Myanmar security forces after October 9 last year.
Although the Rohingya were prevented from speaking with the EU Commission by Myanmar security forces, some women bravely spoke with the delegation where they revealed the reality of violence conducted by security forces.
Sources said the women exactly disclosed to the delegation about the rape, arrest, killing and home torching dropping fear from their mind as they were unbearable to see the scenes.
The women said to the EU Commission, “We witnessed the women were raped, the civilians were arrested and killed and thousands of homes were torched to ashes following the attack on BGP outposts October 9 last year”.
After the departure of the Commission from the place, the three women talked to the delegation were arrested by BGP and taken to the NgaKuYa camp. There, the women were interrogated if they divulged the real incident or not. The women said that they had spoken with the commission where they divulged what they really saw after the 9 October.
