Myanmar army members killed a Rohingya Muslim by blowing strong fist in Puyolet village, Buthidaung for refusing to go force laborer on 24 March 2017.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Malek (53) son of Abul Hussain of Puyolet (Puimali) union, Buthidaung.
According to correspondent report, on 24 March 2017, military caught some Rohingya Muslims as force laborer to work for army without wages. Among the force laborers, the victim, Malek refused to go force laborer as he was an old man.
At this, a military personal blew his strong fist on Malek to fall down a steep stream over the rocks to death.
The body was brought home by family members and buried in the village cemetery after the Namaz e Janaza the next day 25 March 2017.
The army official called the guardian of the dead body and said, “We will give you Kyat 2 millions as compensation. Don’t complain to anybody regarding this incident”.
They threatened the guardians that they would send them to prison if the incident is disclosed or file any complaint with any concerned body.
They further threatened that nobody could do anything against them in this connection, source added.
A Rohingya said, Myanmar government is still violating the human rights and treaty that singed with ILO.
