BGP Extorts huge money from a Rohingya in Rtd

Border Guard Police (BGP) detained an innocent Rohingya man in Puang Pin Yin village tract of Rathidaung on 17 March 2017.

Source said to our correspondent Fazal Ahamd (43) son of Mohd Shafi was apprehended by BGP members alleged in false case.

After interception, the victim was taken to BGP camp where he was confined in the custody and beaten severely by BGP.

BGP said to the victim that there was allegation against him and demanded Kyat 6 million as ransom money from the victim.

Otherwise, the victim would be imprisoned with critical allegation, BGP threatened him.

The victim’s relative anyhow managed Kyat 5.2 million which was given to BGP to save him from jail. Then the victim was released after receiving the Kyat 5.2 million as extortion money from the family members of the victim by BGP.
