At least three grown up girls were gang raped in Shilkhali of Rathedaung by members of Myanmar army on 29 January 2017 while the other one in Kuwarbil of Maungdaw north on 28 January 2017 respectively.
According to reports, five girls in Shilkhali were watering their vegetable farms in the evening after sun set beside the village. Among them two were minor girls and the other three were grown up.
The army members came and caught the three grown up girls who were taken and gang raped by army members in their camp whole night and set them free the next day morning before sun rise.
In Kuwarbil also, military forces raped a woman on 28 January 2017. The name of the victim was identified as Naru (24) daughter of Kala Miah whose husband fled to Bangladesh after 9 October due to atrocities of Myanmar forces.
The guardians of the victims did not find any way and person to complain against the offensive crimes of rape for which they are now in hapless situation.
