The innocent villagers are subjected to different forms of harassments of the Aung Tha Pye village administrator, Thein Shwe U, son of U Tha Maung under sector 1, of Northern Maungdaw.
Source said to our correspondent, the Rohingya who have motorbikes have to give them to the village administrator (Rakhine Community) in turn every day for his use. Otherwise, he forcibly snatches the motorbike from the Rohingya or assaults them. He has been doing like this since 9 October incidents taking the advantage of that.
Finally, when the villagers refused to give their motorcycle to him, he told the villagers to collect money from every family to buy a motorcycle for him so that he would not have to take motorbike from any one in turn.
Therefore, the motorbike owners were compelled to collect Kyat 500, 000 from every bike owner to buy a cycle for himself.
The money was collected from the motorbike owners of five villages of Maungdaw north such as Nayapara, Siyounsuri, Thayangkhali, Boyarsor and Haladefa villages.
He also extorts money from the villagers accusing in various kinds of false allegations with the help of Myanmar government authorities and showing the influence of his ethnicity, Rakhine.
