Military abducts a Rohingya in Maungdaw North

A Rohingya betel leaf trader has been abducted by Myanmar army on 19 December 2016 while coming back home from Raimmaguna bazaar in the evening after selling betel leaves as usual.
The victim has been identified as Mohamad Alam 45 s / o Lal Miah of Bagguna of Kya Gan Taung, Maungdaw north.
According to reports, the victim was coming from Raimmaguna bazaar after selling betel leaves. There on the way to his village home, military found and abducted him. Now his fate and whereabouts are not known to his family members.
Since then, he has not returned home and the family members are in a sad situation for their father who was the only earning member of their family.
His family members are just weeping for him but nothing to do. They do not know if their father is alive or killed by Myanmar army after abduction, said one of the victim’s family members.
