Myanmar military troops have abducted five ladies from Kya Gan Taung (Rabailla) of Maungdaw North today, 10 December 2016 at around 10: 00 am while trying to flee to neighboring village U Shey Kya (Burasikderpar).
In the morning at about 9.50 am, four trucks of military were coming toward Kya Gan Taung village tract to conduct operation. Seeing the army truck approaching to the village, ladies were running away from the village fearing the rape and torture of army personnel, source said.
But, the army could catch the young girls while crossing over a stream to U Shey Kya (Burasikderpara) village and abducted them to their camp.
The victims have been identified as Rukia Begum 22 D/O Sayed Alam, Futuni 20 D/O Shomsu Alam, Hasina Begum 22 D/O Abu, Mubarek 20 D/O Sayed Hussain and Rehena Begum 21 D/O Sayed Alam of the village.
The ladies are believed to be gang raped at their camp. Earlier, hundreds of women from the village during their crackdowns abducted and did not release without sexual rape.
A villager says despite condemnation and protests worldwide against the Suu Kyi led NLD government, the violence on the Rohingya and rape on women have not been stopped.
